The "old road" to Exeter and
Beaconsfield follows the river edge for most of the way. An ambling pleasant
drive. There are plenty of distractions along the way including many
of Tasmania's fine vineyards. A trip past the Batman Bridge to
the Lavender farm at Rowella is well worth the trip.
