Just north of Legana, we come to a couple of turn
offs. One left to the quaint Swiss village of Grindelwald. To the
right, the old West Tamar Highway hugs the river bank. The main highway
continues on past Brady's Lookout to Exeter. This area is also the start
of the Tamar Valley district Wine Route.
Modelled on a
traditional Swiss Village, Grindelwald is just a few kilometres off the highway
and is another must see. The village includes a world class resort, a
small shopping village, restaurants and a 9 hole good quality golf course as
well as a very popular 18 hole mini golf course.
