Billy Brown Falls

Huon Valley

Billy Brown Falls could be descried as a boutique cascade high up in the hills above Judbury on the Huon River. Like most waterfalls, best visited after rain. After a 45 minute walk on very picturesque track the falls are reached.

The track is well marked and is quite steep. The day we visited the track was very slippery in places. Considerable care needs to be taken. The track commences after a 30 minute drive from Judbury. The road is a continuation of the road which crosses the river at Judbury from Glen Huon. Judbury is a 15 or 20 minute drive from Huonville along the southern side of the Huon River. Judbury can also be accessed from the northern side of the river but part of the road is unsealed. The drive from Judbury to the falls track takes about half an hour. The last few kilometres of the road is very rough but quite negotiable in a 2 wheel drive vehicle. Huonville is a 45 minute drive south of Hobart.

Start of track.
