Superb
Mathinna Falls are located about a 20 minutes drive from the township of
Mathinna on good unsealed roads. The falls consist of 3 separate
cascades each 40 or 50 metres apart. A short 10 minute walk from the car park
takes you to the first of the falls.
There is a log crossing of the creek part the way along the track and
can become slippery after heavy rain. A new track has been cut
just before the crossing providing access to the track to all of the
falls. The track from the bottom of the first cascade is steep and
tricky. Considerable care is needed. The climb is well worth the
effort to these superb falls.
Nearby
Evercreech Forest Reserve allows for a
good half day's touring of the area. Another 20 minutes drive.
Mathinna is another 15 minutes drive from Fingal.
