SOUTH MT CAMERON MINE
Once
a mining area all that remain are old tailings dams. One of the 'Blue Lakes'
at
south Mt Cameron near Pioneer. About 20 minutes from Derby.
MORINNA POWER STATION
Morinna private power
station. The power station was built to provide power to the
mines in the area. It still provides power to the state's
power grid.
There is no public access to the facility.
A good but narrow gravel road passes by the power station between the Morinna golf course and Pioneer.
