East of South East Cape in the Southern Ocean is the impressive rock islet of Pedra Branca. Two kilometres to the east of Pedra is another smaller rock
Eddystone. The area is a very popular fishing destination. The rocks below
Eddystone have become a very well known surfing location. The swell from the
southern ocean can create the perfect waves in the right conditions. The
location compliments the better known
SHIPSTERN BLUFF on
the Tasman Peninsula. An abundance of birds and seals inhabit the rocks along
with the odd whale.
