LOWER LIFFEY FALLS TRACK

The Great Western Tiers

As mentioned on the main Liffey Falls page the falls can be accessed from a track below the falls. At the start of the lower track there is a camping ground. When we visited in September 2015 there was a toilet which looked like it was in the process of being reopened after being damaged a couple of years ago.

The track from here is well marked  and easy to follow.  The track is relatively flat until nearing the falls.  The main cascade is reached first.

The roads connecting the upper and lower car parks are steep and very narrow.  Very unsuitable for motor homes and other large vehicles.  Vehicle access to the lower car park from Launceston is through Carrick and Bracknell.
