LAKE BURBURY

Wild Rivers National Park

10 minutes drive west of Nelson Falls is the hydro electric storage of Lake Burbury. A basic camping ground. There are very basic toilets - best to wait for Queenstown 15 minutes away.

The landscape takes on another dramatic change as the saddle between Mt Owen to the south and Mt Lyall to the north is reached.

"The Iron Blow". The open cut mine from the late 1800's. Turn right at the top of the saddle before descending into Queenstown.
