The
track to Tarn Shelf commences at the ski village. There is a two kilometre hike
from Lake Dobson up to the ski village on Mt Mawson. There is soon a
spectacular view of Seal Lake in front of you. The walk continues along a
small plateau. In summer, it becomes a beautiful wild flower garden.
The walk sweeps around to the right to reveal the Tarn Shelf - a series of
little lakes which continue on for a few kilometres. The walk continues a
loop back along the Broad River valley beyond Seal Lake below. The walk is
