The
last 'attraction' heading out of the Central Walls to Damascus Gate and
Dixon's Kingdom is the Pool of Bethesda. The more you wander around the
'pool' the more interesting scenery can be found. A long day trip to
"The Walls" would normally end here.
Just to the left of the main track before commencing the uphill section to
Damascus Gate. A very undefined trail leads on to the
Pool of Siloam
across the valley beyond the bottom of Zion Hill. On the opposite side
of Lake Salome in the Pencil Pine forest. |
