The Great Western Tiers

MOTHER CUMMINGS PEAK

The drive through Meander to Lake Huntsman and Meander Falls is dominated by Mother Cummings Peak on the right.  More a mountain range rather than a peak.  The peak on the right or northern end of the range is un-named but is often mistakenly referred to as Mother Cummings Peak.  (I understand to be named MCP).  The Smoko Falls track continues on behind Mother Cumming Range north to Westrope Road.  An excellent walk from either end.  Westrope Road also provides access to Higgs Track and Lady Lake.

Great views and wildflowers with a mass of cushion plant on the plateau behind the peak.  Part of the labyrinth of great walks along The Great Western Tiers.

The track looking north down on Dairy Plains.  1 1/4 hours from Westrope Road.

Looking south towards the Meander Forest Reserve.  The slope in the left of the picture is Mother Cummings Peak summit.  1 1/2 hours from Westrope Road.
