Cradle Mt - Lake St Clair National Park

AUTUMN AT CRADLE

The Fagus or deciduous beech turns on a colour show on the slopes of Cradle Mountain.  The traditional time to visit is from Anzac Day (25th April).  A quick trip at Easter saw much of the fagus on the turn on the southern slopes.  The pictures tell the story.  Apart for a week of torrential rain, Tasmania has experienced drought conditions for the past three months.
