One
of the more popular camping areas at The Walls of Jerusalem is at Dixon's
Kingdom. After passing through Damascus Gate under Solomon's Buttress
the track descends gently through Tasmania's largest pencil pine forest.
Dixon's Hut is reached after 10 or 15 minutes on the edge of the forest.
The day we visited we were rewarded with masses of Richea Scoparia
blanketing the area immediately adjacent to the forest and virtually all the
way to the foot of Mt Jerusalem to the east.
A photographers delight.
