The Huon

A popular day drive from Hobart is a tour of the "channel" district via Hounville and Cygnet.  The channel separates Bruny Island from the mainland.  See Fluted Cape.  There are two short walks in the area to waterfalls.  Being a small catchment area they are best visited immediately after rain.  Tasmania has had regular heavy rains during the past few months making falls walks all over the island a delight.

The picture on the right was taken near Pelverata on the road from Sandfly.
