The 12 kilometre diversion to the Wes Beckett Forest reserve is well worth the visit.  The last 2 Kms is on a narrow "jeep" track but is quite passable.  There is a track to the bottom of a nearby gorge to Becketts Falls.  About 20 minutes each way on a fairly steep and in parts awkward track.

Near the start of the diversion is another short trip to Dempster Lookout.  A short easy walk.
